The Phillies have nothing in the bullpen… they had no confidence in Lidge.

So what?

Yankees just lost game 5 to the Phillies 8-6. Great job coming back in the late innings again. The Yankees have pretty much proved that Cliff Lee is the Phillies only chance to even come close to winning. He has pitched the only two games that the Phillies have won and the bullpen almost blew this one. In fact, if Burnett were just horrible instead of atrocious, the Yankees might have even won.

It’s pretty obvious that the Yankees are the better team. They lost, so what? Now the Yankees get to win it at home, and do it against Pedro Martinez.
