Pettitte to start game 6 on 3 days rest
Andy Pettitte gets the nod tomorrow in game 6 and will be pitching on 3 days rest for the first time since 2006. That starts the debate. We started hearing about it yesterday, and we haven’t stopped hearing about it since: The ineffectiveness of starters on 3 days rest. More >

So what?
Yankees just lost game 5 to the Phillies 8-6. Great job coming back in the late innings again. The Yankees have pretty much proved that Cliff Lee is the Phillies only chance to even come close to winning. He has pitched the only two games that the Phillies have won and the bullpen almost blew this one. In fact, if Burnett were just horrible instead of atrocious, the Yankees might have even won. ...

World Series Game 3
12:32 a.m. The game now moves to the bottom of the ninth. It will be the bottom third of the order for the Phillies. Looks like it will be Hughes for the Yankees who will try to avoid using Rivera in this game. Should the Yankees win this game, they will be in the same situation they were in in the ALCS: up 2-1 in game 4. And, oh yeah, welcome to November baseball.

Bring on the Phillies
The stage is all set. The defending champion Philadelphia Phillies will face off against The New York Yankees starting Wednesday night. While it may seem very easy to celebrate and get all happy right now, remember, there is still one more mountain to climb. It’s a mountain that may be the most difficult to climb this year. It should be a good series. Below I have a list of a couple of...

ALCS Game 6 Postponed
Due to ridiculous rain conditions, tonight’s game has been postponed. The game will take place tomorrow night at 8:20 PM ET on FOX. Should have been postponed 3 hours ago, it’s been raining like you can’t believe all day. Tomorrow its supposed to be sunny and 50 degrees. Much better off playing the game tomorrow. Hope it doesn’t interfere with any good football games...

The Resume of Tim McClelland: Not Good
Called out George Brett on a home run because he had pine tar on his bat above the limit. Call was reversed and game was replayed because McClelland had the rule wrong. Called out Nick Swisher on a sac fly. Replay showed that not only did Nick Swisher NOT leave the base early, but McClelland wasn’t even looking anywhere near Swisher’s foot or the bag. Missed double play call at...

Going into Mondays game in Anaheim, the Yankees owned a 2-0 lead in the ALCS. It would be needed, as the Yankees have never played well in southern California. Derek Jeter was quick to prove that wrong… More
