Andy Pettitte gets the nod tomorrow in game 6 and will be pitching on 3 days rest for the first time since 2006. That starts the debate. We started hearing about it yesterday, and we haven’t stopped hearing about it since: The ineffectiveness of starters on 3 days rest. More >

So what?
Yankees just lost game 5 to the Phillies 8-6. Great job coming back in the late innings again. The Yankees have pretty much proved that Cliff Lee is the Phillies only chance to even come close to winning. World Series Game 3
12:32 a.m. The game now moves to the bottom of the ninth. It will be the bottom third of the order for the Phillies. Looks like it will be Hughes for the Yankees who will try to avoid using Rivera in this game. Should the Yankees win this game, they will be in the same situation they were in in the ALCS: up 2-1 in game 4.
And, oh yeah, welcome to November baseball.
